Posted by CMS Admin

If you have been blessed this week and would like to be a part of helping make these kinds of trips available to more people, you might want to consider becoming a prayer or financial partner of The Center for Short Term Missions . . . or take advantage of one of our fundraisers.

For more information, email us at bob@shorttermtrips.org. It has been such a joy to serve the Lord together this week.

Thanks again for choosing to use your time to be a light for Him in Chicago.

Please note that we will not be able to pass on anymore comments. Thank you for all your support.

Regency Park Trip Blog Day 2

Posted by CMS Admin

Thanks again for checking in. The team had a fantastic day. They really enjoyed attending church with Pastor Juan. Their time was one of new experiences and opportunities. At one point the team was even brought up on the platform to participate in the music.
The afternoon was spent planning the contents of a care package that will be delivered during our upcoming visit at a local nursing home. The team did a great job deciding how to best serve these Srs.
The ladies will be getting their nails polished and the men will spend time playing games.
They also made gift bags consisting of a journal with a picture of the team on it, a pair of warm socks, easter eggs with a treat, puzzle books, combs for the mean and nail files for the ladies.
Debriefing was exceptional. It was exceptional because of the quality of the sharing that was shared as we processed a painting of the last supper. The tone was set for being a servant leader.
Please pray that the team would continue to serve with such joy and energey. Please pray that they would strive to learn more of Him during their time with Him. And please pray that our time in the evening debriefing would continue to be as exciting as it has been.

Regency Park Trip Blog Day 1

Posted by CMS Admin

Hey Everyone,
Thank you for checking in on your team. And thank you for having so many comments on the blog for the team to see before they even arrived. They were blessed as we read through them at debriefing last night. You clearly communicated your love for them and your desire for God to rule during this time.
After the team arrived they spend time moving into their rooms. You could tell they were glad to get out of the bus and stretch their legs. And what a blessing it has been that their cell phones, etc. were left at home. Because of that they were able to focus on just being together as a body. They even created a new game that they played together. Let's just say it involves smelly shoes. Ask them about it.
Debriefing went really well also. They were very honest as each of them shared their greatest fear. Their answers were revealing and personal.
Please pray for the team that God would keep them safe, that He would use them for HIs Kingdom and that they would pursue their relationship with Him with trust and devotion.
Check back tomorrow for Sunday's update and keep the comments coming.
